Ondřej Čechovský began his musical career playing the bass flugelhorn, from which he later switched to trombone. He learned to play both instruments at the A. Mucha Elementary School of the Arts in Ivančice under Jiří Šváb.

He is in his fifth year of study at the Brno Conservatoire under the guidance of František Jeřábek and Jan Pospíšil. As a student, he has been a regular participant at various competitions such as the International Competition for Wind Instrument Players in Brno and the Pardubice Winds, where he has repeatedly won top prizes.

He is gaining orchestral experience with the Czech Virtuosi and in the Moravian Symphony Orchestra. At present, he also plays trombone in the Orchestra of the National Theatre in Brno.
