Jindřich Konvalinka

Jindřich Konvalinka graduated from the Pardubice Conservatoire, having studied under František Machač and Radek Pokorný. He is continuing his studies at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno in the master’s study programme in the studios of Prof. Miloslav Jelínek and Dr. Marek Švestka.

As a student, he has won a number of prizes including first prize at the MEDICI International Music Competition (2023), second prize at the František Simandl Competition (2024), and third prize at the J. Geissel and F. Černý International Double Bass Competition (2025).

He has appeared as a soloist with the Moravian Philharmonic in Olomouc, the Hradec Králové Philharmonic, the Pardubice Chamber Philharmonic, and other ensembles.

He performs regularly with such leading Czech orchestras as the Prague Philharmonia, the Hradec Králové Philharmonic, and the National Theatre in Brno. He is also a member of the Orchestral Academy of the Hradec Králové Philharmonic.
