Aleš Kohoutek

Aleš Kohoutek (*2005) began playing the trumpet at age six at the Alfons Mucha Elementary School of the Arts in Ivančice under the guidance of Jiří Šváb.

He is now in his fifth year of study at the Brno Conservatoire in the studio of Dr Petr Hojač. As a student, he is regularly a participant at music competitions such as the International Competition for Wind Instrument Players in Brno and the Pardubice Winds Competition, where he has repeatedly won top prizes. In 2024 we won First Prize and the title of laureate at the Pro Bohemia Ostrava International Music Competition.

He is getting orchestral experience with the Brno Contemporary Orchestra and the Moravian Symphony Orchestra. He has been a member of the Orchestral Academy of the Czech Philharmonic since 2025.
